Founded in 2024, wayward son is a women-centered theatre company whose mission is to challenge conventional theatrical forms through scrappy storytelling. We are committed to total collaboration, interrogating the classics, and rising to a challenge.
Meet the Team

Artistic Director
Caitlin Morley
Caitlin Morley is an award-winning director currently based in New York City. She is the Founding Artistic Director of wayward son and the Associate Artistic Director of Bedlam. Through scrappy, organic, and intimate storytelling, Caitlin’s work fiercely challenges theatrical convention. Her directing credits include Macbeth (wayward son), Twelfth Night (Play Phase Productions), Dry Land (Tufts University), Romeo & Juliet (Tufts University), Music City (Associate Director; Bedlam; 2 Drama League noms including Outstanding Musical; Off-Broadway Alliance nom including Best Musical), Women of Will (Associate Director; Bedlam), The Assassination of Julius Caesar… (Assistant Director; Bedlam), Arcadia (Assistant Director; Bedlam), Angels in America Part 1 (Assistant Director; Bedlam), and Measure for Measure (Assistant Director; Brown Box Theatre Project).
Caitlin has a BA in Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies and Education from Tufts University where she was awarded the Jane Herman award for Excellence in Directing (2022).

Director of Development
Isabela Fernandes
Isabela Fernandes is a Brooklyn-based actor, director, and producer who loves to spark joy and community through theater and live events. She has most recently performed in Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with 11th Hour Players, Twelfth Night with Play Phase Productions, Heard You Were Leaving with Columbia University, and The Chipper Man with Wednesday Nights Theater Company. She directed The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Kraine and is also the production manager and host for Dean Street Sessions.

Company Manager
Margaret Parish
Margaret Parish is a theater-maker and educator currently based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She has a B.A. in Child Studies and Human Development from Tufts University and a breadth of on- and off-stage theater experience. She most recently assistant stage managed Faithless at the New Hampshire Theater Project. Other notable credits include Macbeth (wayward son, Company and House Manager/Technical Director), Twelfth Night (Play Phase Productions, Viola/Sebastian), Dry Land (Tufts University, Amy), and Romeo and Juliet (Tufts University, Juliet).
